1/2 pound of butter - 1 cup - 250 ml

Sweeteners

There has always been controversy with 'sweeteners' over the years (I think that applies to artificial)  but as of right now I am using Stevia, Agave and Coconut palm sugar.

Stevia will not raise your blood sugar period.  It is 300 times sweeter than sugar so a little goes a long way.
Agave is 25% sweeter than sugar and is rated low on the Glycemic index with a 30-35.  It is the consistency of honey and comes in light and dark.
Coconut Palm Sugar also rates low on the Glycemic Index with a 35 and has a light caramel flavour.

Stevia Conversions

1 tsp. Stevia (powdered) = 1 Cup sugar
1 tsp. Stevia (liquid) = 1 Cup sugar
6 drops of Stevia liquid = 1 Tbsp
1 pinch of Stevia (powder) = 1 tsp. sugar
2 drops Stevia (liquid) = 1 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. Stevia liquid = 2 cups sugar
